Lakeisha Holloway, also known as Paris Paradise Morton, has finally pleaded guilty to charges related to a tragic incident that occurred on the Las Vegas Strip in 2015. On August 2025, Holloway admitted guilt to second-degree murder and battery with a deadly weapon, following a car crash that resulted in the death of Jessica Valenzuela, a 32-year-old mother visiting from Arizona, and injuries to 37 others.

The incident, which shocked Las Vegas and reverberated across the nation, was the culmination of a decade-long legal saga. The delay in delivering justice for the victims and their families was due to Holloway's mental health issues. Repeated evaluations found her unfit to stand trial, leading to court postponements and extended stays in state-run mental health facilities.

Holloway's motives, as reported, were linked to a mental breakdown triggered by the deaths of loved ones, job separation, and personal struggles, including failed attempts to leave the Church of Scientology. At the time of the incident, her 3-year-old daughter was in the car, leading to additional child abuse charges.

Initially, Holloway faced 71 charges, including murder with the use of a deadly weapon, child abuse/neglect, and multiple counts of attempted murder and battery with the use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm. However, the resolution of the case came after a stipulated sentence of 18 years to life in prison was agreed upon.

The sentencing hearing for Holloway is scheduled for September 25, 2025, where she will face the consequences of the tragedy she has caused. This long-awaited court date marks a significant step towards closure for the victims, their families, and the city of Las Vegas.
