In an incident that occurred on Sunday evening at around 21:25 in Dreieich-Sprendlingen, a 34-year-old Audi driver from Rodermark is currently under investigation by the Southeast Hesse Police Directorate for suspected illegal street racing.

The driver, whose name has not been disclosed in available sources, was travelling on Offenbach Street/Querspange Nord onroad area in a gray Audi A7. The driver attempted to flee from a police checkpoint, disregarding all traffic rules during the escape.

According to reports, the driver reportedly drove at excessive speeds, ran four red lights, and recklessly overtook other vehicles. The driver's escape ended in a dead end, at which point the police temporarily detained the individual.

No signs of alcohol or drug consumption were found after the driver was inspected. The police have seized the driver's license, vehicle, and phone for further investigation.
