Commercial casinos in New York experience a 6% increase in revenue during July
In July 2025, New York's four commercial casinos collectively generated $60.6 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR), marking a 6% increase compared to July 2024's $57.2 million.
The New York State Gambling Commission reported that the combined GGR from slots and electronic table games (ETGs) in July 2025 was $45.1 million, a 10.6% increase from the same month in 2024 ($40.7 million). Despite a seasonal slowdown and slight dip in volumes compared to the previous month (June 2025), this increase suggests strong engagement with New Yorkβs commercial casino offerings.
Each casino saw an increase in revenue year-over-year. Tioga Downs generated the least GGR of the four casinos in July 2025, but it saw a 2.7% increase from the previous year, rising from $8.9 million to $9.2 million.
De Lago Resort and Casino reported a 6.8% increase in revenue, with GGR rising from $13.3 million to $14.2 million. Resorts World Catskills, the location of the second-highest GGR, experienced a year-over-year increase, but it was the smallest among the four casinos, with a 0.7% rise from $17.7 million to $17.8 million.
The GGR at Rivers Casino and Resort saw the largest percentage increase among the four casinos, with a 12.5% rise in GGR from $17.3 million in 2024 to $19.5 million in 2025.
Table games experienced a 4.6% year-over-year decline in GGR, with GGR dropping from $15 million to $14.3 million in July 2025.
These figures underscore the continued growth and popularity of New York's commercial casinos, offering a positive outlook for the sector. However, detailed performance data by each specific casino is not currently available in the publicly released reports for July 2025.
